Oil and fuel prices have finally started to decline as the global economy enters a recession. That’s what it took to get the gasoline “demand destruction” so craved by green industry ideologues in the financial sector. Gasoline prices have finally begun to decline with the national average as of this writing at $4.577 per gallon. This is down about eight percent from the high in mid June of $5.016 per gallon but still sixty-seven percent higher than mid July 2019, before the pandemic. This small reduction is little solace for struggling families. Year over year inflation for June 2022 was a staggering 9.1% here in the US, but things are evidently worse in Europe.
