Post PTC, Wind Faces New Questions

President Barack Obama has officially signed H.R.8, the American Tax Payer Relief Act, into law. While the sweeping legislation helped extend unemployment insurance and make permanent the Bush-era tax cuts, it also extended for one year the set-to-expire wind energy production tax credit (PTC), as well as the investment tax credit (ITC), which is important for offshore and community wind.
