Fickle Forces Stall Biomass Project

The great promise of a $100 million biomass plant in a hungry rural county was plain: jobs to build it and run it, a place to burn woody mass collected from struggling sawmills and fire-prone forests, a new supply of electricity generated from renewable sources. The Lakeview plant to be situated in Lake County by Portland-based Iberdrola Renewables had smart written all over it. . .
